My Photography...

I started taking photos at 10 years of age. My father had a Kodak 35mm camera that I would use. He loved taking pictures of our family. Looking back at those photos, I realized that he captured us in real life and in the moment. This is my vision for photography. I like to capture life in motion at 1/125 sec.

Starting out in school we had to make our own pinhole camera out of an oatmeal box and a sheet of 4x5 film. Even though cameras and technology have changed, photography is still about the use of light and telling a story.

It does not matter if the subject is a product, person or a building. Creating an image that is designed well and has credibility over time is my goal. I enjoy the challenge of going on location and not knowing what I will find there, but coming back with the best photo possible. When I have exceeded my client's expectations and have created an honest image, I have done my job as a commercial photographer.

I currently live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my beautiful and talented wife, Bambi, and our four furry friends.
